The Express Entry (EE) process is a three stage immigration process for an applicant who is interested in lodging Residence application to Canada for himself and family members:
• The first step for an applicant is to complete all the requirements and proceed with Expression of Interest (EOI) lodgment which is done online.
• The second step is when the applicant is selected by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) after he is assessed and has the pass mark points to be invited from the pool and is invited to lodge his Residence application with all supporting documents in order.
• The third step will be when the applicant is found eligible under the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) and is given 60 days’ time to lodge the family application with all supporting documents in order towards obtaining Residence visa.
The Government of Canada recently invited about 3,750 applications to apply for Canadian permanent residence visas under the Express Entry draw on 25th July 2018. The Comprehensive Ranking System cut-off score for this draw of invitation round was at 441 points.
As of date the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score one point lower than the last invitation draw which was held on 11th July 2018 with CRS cut-off points at 442.
With this fourth consecutive draw tis time with 3,750 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) provided to applicants the total for July has gone upto 7,500 Invitations from the Express Entry pool. The good news is July 2018 is far the best in terms of invitations issued by IRCC to applicants apply under FSW. The month of June 2018 also saw 7,500 ITAs applications issued invitation. From the time Express Entry was introduced in 2015 this has been a record-setting month with 7,500 ITAs issued.
