Canada attracts huge number of Immigrants from all over the world. Canada welcomes professionals seeking Permanent Residency under Skilled Worker category to make Canada their new home. One can migrate to Canada under the Canada Skilled worker immigration category. One can qualify if one has at least one year experience in one of the 29 occupations that are still on the list you should apply as soon as possible.
From 1st July 2011, over the next few months about 10,000 Federal Skilled Worker applications will be considered for processing, previous to this the quota was set to 20,000 federal skilled applications to be processed.
Also, a new cap system has been introduced for the above occupations with 500 applications per occupation from the previous 1000 application per occupation.

Arranged Employment: If your occupation is not listed in the above 29 occupation one can process to qualify by obtaining an offer of arranged employment you can also apply under the skilled worker category. You will need to have obtained a positive Arranged Employment Opinion from Human Resources and Social Development Canada (HRSDC). There is no limit on the number of skilled worker applications that can be made for those who have arranged employment.
If you do not have arranged employment you will need to come under one of the occupations below (excluding any occupations where the cap has been reached).
Lodgment & Processing Time: We would like to advise that all our applications are lodged at Federal Skilled Worker, Centralized Intake Office, Nova Scotia, Canada. The present processing time for an application lodged after February 2008 will be 8 to 10 month for the date of lodgment. As such we would advise you to kindly make use of the eligibility and proceed further towards lodgment of your application.
Present pass mark: An applicant must obtain atleast 67 points based on Citizenship and Immigration Canada's (CIC) immigration selection factors.
