AUSTRALIA - OFFICE MANAGERS IN DEMAND
Officer Managers who are looking at applying to Australia under the category of General Skilled Migration (GSM) Program can apply now. The applicants with this occupation title, who have work experience as an Office Manager, such as administrative systems and office personnel will qualify. In order to receive a visa, applicants will need to meet the basic requirements for General Skilled Migration (GSM) Program and should have the qualifying pass mark under the points test to lodge a successful application.
On 1 July 2012, Australian immigration will be announcing important changes to their skilled migration program. Under the updated Australian immigration system, it is expected fewer applicants will qualify for a visa and processing times will be longer. Under the current skilled immigration programme an applicant should apply for a skills assessment as soon he/she meets the pass mark to lodge an application. An applicant needs to have the pass mark, meet the language requirements and should have all other required documents and should also have the Skills assessment report from VETASSESS prior to lodging an Immigration application with DIAC.
General Skilled Migration Program (GSM) is for professionals and other skilled applicants who have skills in particular occupations required in Australia and who are not sponsored by an employer. Australian Immigration uses a Skilled Occupation List (SOL) and as part of their points system for an applicant to qualify under skilled migration to Australia, one must be nominated on any one of the occupations from the Skilled Occupation List (SOL). The good news is Office Manager position is on the SOL presently.
