New Zealand's business migration program invites investors and entrepreneurs to New Zealand, providing opportunities for New Zealanders to build skills for further external business connections. New Zealand’s business migration policies are designed to contribute to economic growth, attracting ‘smart’ capital and business expertise to New Zealand, and enabling experienced business people to buy or establish businesses in New Zealand.
Work visa allows an applicant to enter or re-enter. It is an endorsement in the passport, which shows that the applicant has permission to travel to New Zealand and may be granted a work permit when arrives. The visa may be single for one journey or multiple for more than one journey and may be issued for up to three years' duration.
Citizens from all Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) economies except Australia who want to take up temporary residence for business purposes in New Zealand must apply for a work visa, unless their stay will be for no longer than three months in any one year and they will only be in New Zealand to discuss and negotiate business arrangements. Those people may enter as visitors.
An applicant can qualify on one of the following categories to enter New Zealand on Business Migration visa:
• Investment category
• Long Term Business Visa (LTBV)
• Entrepreneur category
