Also, presently the province of Prince Edward Island has announced changes to the Business Impact Category of the Canada Provincial Nominee Program and we don’t see this to open up lately due to Covid-19.  

INVESTMENT AMOUNT:  The present investment amount can vary for an applicant based on the Business plan. The Business plan  and the knowledge the applicant has in the business will prove the option to be selected under this ownership stream. The amount that the applicant should look at investing can vary from  CAD $ 150,000 to CAD  $250,000

PROCESSING TIME: The processing time after the applicant is lodged through the Canada Express Entry is about 12-18 months.

REQUIRE WORK PERMIT: The province will only invite entrepreneur applicants selected through the Work Permit stream as 100% Ownership and Partial Ownership streams process are presently closed.  All applicants will continue to be invited through the Expression of Interest system only after they have obtained work permit selection process.  Contact us to know more about the process.

An applicant who is processing under the Prince Edward Island province should invest not anything less than CAD $150,000 in a business for which the applicant should run the business and live in the province for one year before being approved to apply to the Federal government.

The applicant must continue to live and run the business from within the province until Permanent Residence visa is issued as at times there is huge backlog with Federal government.
