The current Canada Express Entry system for Canada was announced with 500 skilled occupation titles / list. These occupation titles will help to find eligibility based on a number of factors for an applicant. Applicants with suitable title and meeting the required points are invited to apply for immigration to Canada. The applicants have to meet certain requirements before lodging an application with the Immigration department under the Expression of Interest (EOI). Once the application is lodged for an EOI the application goes into the pool, and should be selected from the pool within one years time from the date of lodgment. To get into the Canada Express Entry pool, one of the criterion to be met by the applicant for the Federal Skilled Worker Program is Skilled work experience. The applicant has to meet the following requirements on Work experience: FULL TIME WORK EXPERIENCE - The work experience should also meet the criteria of having Full Time orelse 30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1560 hours), PART TIME WORK EXPERIENCE - The work experience under part time should meet the criteria of orelse 15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1560 hours) OR 30 hours/week for 12 months at more than one job = 1 year full time (1560 hours). The applicant must meet the criterion and must prove that he/she duties performed are closely match with the occupational description in the NOC, including all the essential duties listed. If the applicant’s job description does not match with any of the NOC descriptions, then the applicant does not qualify to lodge the application under the FSW Canada program. Applications which meet the requirement under the new Federal Skilled Worker fsw program Canada category, including those with Arranged Employment, to receive a decision within six to 12 months compared with up to six years under the old system. The systems deliver final decisions for economic applicants within a year. Before one makes an application under the Skilled Worker category the applicant must make sure that his/her occupation / profession is on the current NOC Occupation list Canada. The qualifying occupations are named by NOC (National Occupational Classification) and are based on the main duties performed.
