UPDATE ON QIIP: The Ministry of Immigration, Francisation and Integration shall officially reopen Quebec Immigrant Investor Program (QIIP) on 1st January 2024, with new changes in conditions and requirements. The QIIP program was suspended in 2019 while the government now reviewed it. Subsequent this process, the Quebec government has now announced the program reopening and the new criteria. Read more: QUEBEC IMMIGRANT INVESTOR PROGRAM (QIIP) The QIIP is the only business immigration program in Canada that does not require the applicant to establish or buy a business, employ Canadians, or invest the money at risk. It is the only passive investment business immigration program in Canada. Quebec welcomes family applications under Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSW) and Quebec Immigrant Investor Program (QIIP). Each year, Québec receives thousands of immigrants whose skills re-join to particular market requirements and it helps for them to find work in Quebec. Migrating to Quebec helps a prospective applicant to find good job opportunities, followed by quality life both in urban centres and outlying regions of Quebec. QUEBEC SKILLED WORKER (QSW) PROGRAM : Quebec-selects applications through skilled worker program. To qualify for immigration to Canada, the family can process an application through Quebec-selected skilled worker category, for which an applicant must score at least 50 Quebec immigration points as single applicant eligible to apply to qualify as an immigrant. To qualify as a family applicant which includes his spouse and children, the applicant must be able to score at least 59 Quebec immigration points in order to be eligible for the Quebec Skilled Worker (QSW) Program. Under the Quebec Skilled Worker (QSW) Program, the applicant can process through this program ho want to become permanent residents of Canada and live in Quebec. Quebec has a special arrangement on immigration with the Government of Canada. The province has its own rules for choosing immigrants who will adjust well to living in Quebec. The permanent selection application process is assessed through the process of Expression of Interest. Applicants interested in immigrating to Québec must first complete the requirements of having their qualification assessed through the Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) and should also meet the language requirement with other guidelines of the points test that is assessed prior to submitting an Expression of Interest application. If an applicant is selected, the applicant receives and invitation from the Government of Quebec requesting to submit a permanent selection application. To apply for quebec skilled worker program, an applicant should process in two different stages: Accordingly the applicant will then receive a certificate showing that the Province of Quebec has accepted your application to be processed as an immigrant. QUEBEC IMMIGRANT INVESTOR PROGRAM (QIIP) To process an application under the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program (QIIP), the applicant and family members should be able to qualify through the Investor program, and must meet the following: NET ASSETS: The applicant should have, alone or with family members spouse or de facto spouse, legally acquired net assets of at least CAD 2,000,000, excluding any amounts received by donation less than six months before the application is submitted for process. MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: The applicant should have management experience for at least two years in the five years preceding the application for selection. This experience of the applicant must include duties related to the planning, management and control of financial, human or material resources under your authority. This does not include experience acquired in an apprenticeship, training or specialization leading to a diploma. SUMMARY: The applicant must show factors towards prospects of settling in Québec. INVESTMENT: The applicant should meet the five-year term investment of CAD 1,200,000 with Investissement Québec - Immigrants Investisseurs Inc. There are two options that an investor can choose: pay CAD 1,200,000 to Investissement Québec (or) the applicant deposits a sum Investissement Québec through the financing institutions through an agreement which requires down payment after the Quebec Government approves your application. INVESTMENT AGREEMENT: The applicant should also meet the requirements towards the investment agreement with a financial intermediary that will be identified and will guide towards meeting all requirements for preparation of Quebec Immigrant Investor Program (QIIP), towards this Investor Program. TIME FRAME : The applicant should also meet all requirements before the deadline time given by the Quebec Government and all supporting documents, must be certified according to the respective authorized body towards clearing your application on the supporting documents that will be submitted towards the Québec valuation requirement. CHILDREN AGE: Applicant and the family members whose children are below 21 can meet the requirement towards processing under the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program (QIIP). FEDERAL APPLICATION: Once the QIIP process is completed, then the same is followed up with the process of meeting all requirements of the principal applicant and its family members with the Federal Government of Canada. Once all requirements are cleared, the applicant and its family members would then obtain their Residence permit to Canada.
