CANADA SELECTS NEW OCCUPATIONS AND FRENCH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY
IRCC recently issued invitations to applicants from the Express Entry draw (EOI). Enclosed the selection draw for the last 3 months - September, August, July 2023. These selected occupations were for French language proficiency followed by Trade occupations for which invitations were issued.
The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points that were selected from the pool varied from low point of 354 to the highest of 531 points.
We expect more demand occupations to be selected in the coming months and also applicants to be picked up from provinces based on the CRS points.

CANADA RELEASES NEW PATHWAY SPECIFIC TO HEALTH WORKERS: The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) advised there is requirement for health workers across Canada. The health field is one of numerous key sectors of Canada’s labour force which is facing unprecedented shortages.
Doctors, Nurses, Dentists, Pharmacists, Physiotherapists And Optometrists, recently, the Honourable Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, and the Honourable Minister of Health, announced the use of these new features for a dedicated round of invitations to be sent to health workers, including doctors, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, physiotherapists and optometrists.

The first round for category-based selection has opened and invited 500 health workers to apply in June 2023. A second round, inviting 1,500 workers to apply, took place on July 5.
TARGET TO WELCOME NEW PERMANENT RESIDENTS: To support Canada’s post-pandemic recovery and chart a more prosperous future, the Government of Canada set a target of welcoming 401,000 new permanent residents as part of the 2021–2023 Immigration Levels Plan.
The Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, announced that Canada has reached its target and welcomed more than 401,000 new permanent residents. Surpassing the previous record from 1913, this is the most newcomers in a year in Canadian history.
Prior to setting a new record for admissions in 2021, the last time Canada welcomed such a large number of newcomers was in 1913.
