GLOBAL TALENT VISA PROGRAM

The Global Talent Visa Program is a visa for innovation, also known as the Global Talent Independent Program, is a reorganized visa towards the pathway for highly skilled professionals to work and live permanently in Australia. Australia presently requires knowledgeable and the best towards the growing economy.

Australia requires qualified and talented applicants to work in ten future-focused sectors. The program is planned to assist the growth of innovation and tech economies of Australia. This will create opportunities for Australians by transferring skills, promoting innovation, and creating jobs. 

Australia has strong trading links and a business approachable controlling method, the program requires talented applicants who will be given permanent residency to make their new lives in Australia.  IN 2020-2021, THERE ARE 15,000 PLACES AVAILABLE UNDER THE PROGRAM.

 

ELIGIBILITY: To be granted a visa under the Global Talent Visa Program, an applicant will be highly skilled in one of the 10 target sectors. They will also be able to attract a salary that meets the high income threshold to be eligible.

Applicants must meet a high standard and show an excellent track record of professional achievement. This may include senior roles, patents, professional awards and international publications and memberships.

Places are also available to PhD graduates, and certain PhD students who are nearing completion of their thesis and can demonstrate their exceptional talent and international recognition in a target sector.

To be eligible to apply for the Global Talent Visa Program under the Global Talent visa, an applicant must:​

1. Have a recognised organisation or individual in Australia nominate the applicant for the global talent visa program, in the same field as the applicant
2. Have their credentials verify that they are internationally recognised with evidence of outstanding achievements.
3. Have evidence to prove that the applicant will be an asset to Australian economy, in the field of  knowledge
4. Have no difficulty obtaining employment in Australia or becoming established in their field of experience
5. Have prominence in the field of skills

 

INCOME THRESHOLD:  Applicants should also have high income threshold and ability to attract a salary or above the Fair Work high income threshold of AUD153,600.  

In evaluating the applicant will be considered to provide the following supporting documents which can be:

1. Current salary shown through payslips or a contract, or

2. Future job offers outlining remuneration, or

3. Recent Ph.D. graduates in the target sectors
