STEP-BY-STEP PROCEDURE FOR PORTUGAL GOLDEN VISA

Portugal’s Golden Visa permit was established in 2007 and has become one of the more popular permanent resident programs. Portugal is a great tourist attraction, offering a good and safe quality of life.

The investor visa allows residences to live, work or study anywhere in the EU making it a very attractive destination for families. Investors can purchase real estate in the scenic areas of Lisbon, Porto, Cascais, Algarve and other regions in the country.  

PROCESSING TIME:  

The general processing time to obtain Residence is about 3 months, but in practice, it takes closer to 4-6 months to process the Golden Visa, after which the applicant can enjoy all the benefits of the golden visa stated for the applicant and family.

Most of the applicants / investors choose the Real Estate investment option for the Portugal Golden Visa Program by investing €280,000 or €350,000 towards the residence permit and has the right to reside in Portugal and enjoy free travel within the  26 nation members of the Schengen zone. 

SELECT THE PROJECT: We can choose from a range of investment routes on the project availability with us that suits your investment and based on the size of the family and requirements.  

CHECKLIST:  We make sure we have all supporting documents as per the checklist.  The application process for Portugal Golden Visa Program is submitted with complete supporting documents collected from the clients based on the checklist that will be provided.

AUTHENTICATION:  Appoint your representative and Signing of authorisation to act on your behalf. Also, appointing Immigration Lawyer to act on your behalf towards the preparation of your application.  Meet all the document requirements such as Agreements, Authenticating all other supporting required forms.  Once all civil documents are in order prepare a submission and add the project documents to authenticate for lodgment.  

SUBMISSION: Once all documents are in order submit your application to Swap Execution Facility (SEF) followed by SEF online Interview is scheduled after documents are analysed by Swap Execution Facility (SEF) by Portuguese Immigration Services.

INTERVIEW: After all documents are in order Portuguese Immigration Services would allocate a date for an interview. The applicant would need to travel to Portugal for SEF Interview , Final decision is provided by SEF (30-90 days) towards processing the Golden Visa, after which the applicant can enjoy all the benefits stated as well for the family.

GOLDEN VISA PROGRAM’S MAIN BENEFITS: The Golden Visa Portugal is a form of a citizenship by investment program. If the potential investor fulfils the requirements that may gain  the family residency in Portugal through the means of investing in Portugal. Here are the Golden Visa program’s main benefits:

• SECOND RESIDENCE:  You have the security of a second residence in a safe and stable country. You have freedom of opportunities for you and your family.

• CITIZENSHIP:  Hold Residence Permit for 5 years, Convert to Citizenship by applying for Portuguese citizenship.
