The immigration department estimates it will issue over 40,500 partner and 3,000 child visas in the financial year.
Speeding Up Visa Processing: The Government is changing how it processes and prioritizes skilled visa applications, keeping healthcare and education workers on top. After scraping the Priority Migration Skilled Occupation List (PMSOL) to rank applications, the assessment starts in three days. Priority will be given to – healthcare or teaching, employer-sponsored visas, and permanent and provisional visa subclass, followed by other visas.
